synopsis

What does home mean?

The question still lingers: what truly is home? For some, it’s a place they can return to; for others, it's a memory. Watan navigates seamlessly among the landscapes of Yemen, Syria, Ukraine, and their new homes, examining the delicate structure of belonging. Using personal confessions and vivid visuals, the film reveals that home isn't merely a location on a map, but something continuously recreated within the heart.

In ‘Home’, the focus shifts to reconstruction and a sense of belonging. Here, the psychological lens complements participatory filmmaking approaches by highlighting how creative expression becomes part of recovery.
